Optimization
One of the most important real-world tasks is to optimize some problem or process. We have expertise in the most advanced optimization techniques, including evolutionary algorithms, simulated annealing, particle swarm optimization, and physicomimetics. For example, the left animation shows an evolutionary algorithm solving a Traveling Salesman Problem, providing the least-distance route to visit 120 European cities. As another example, the right animation shows how our proprietary physicomimetics optimization algorithm (green dots) outperforms particle swarm optimization (red dots) on a noisy problem. The yellow dot represents the optimum.
